Avon Descent Assessments

Epic Adventure Training can provide you with your Avon Descent Competency Assessment, which is a requirement for anyone wanting to compete in the Avon Descent for the first time. Most Assessors will only test you on the requirements, but we prefer to give you a one hour lesson showing you all the things you need to know (assessing you as you learn). More details will be available closer to the event.

Valley Runs & Tea Tree Runs

Our Valley and Tea Tree Trips are run by two white water instructors who are amongst the most experienced paddlers of the Avon River. Our trips are run with a maximum of 8 participants to ensure everyone gets personalised service and the most access to instructors. This is to ensure your safety and to make sure everyone gets more time with our instructors.

Costs - Valley Runs are $130 and Tea Tree Trips are $90. More details of dates will be available closer to the event (and once the rain starts to fall).

Corporate Teams

We offer training for Corporate teams competing in the Avon Descent, we provide the boat, the training and the preparation to give your team the best chance of completing the Avon Descent.

Our Instructors:

Guy Power is a qualified white water instructor who has been teaching for over 10 years.	John Di Nucci is a qualified white water instructor who has been teaching for over 15 years. John has competed in over 26 Avon Descents!
